“I scream, you scream, we all scream, for ice cream!” And this is certainly the case when it comes to Creamistry’s fresh customizable creations. My first taste certainly had me screaming for more!
Creamistry is taking the nation by storm as one of the fastest growing liquid nitrogen ice cream franchises available today. From my initial glimpse into their website and branding (which is top-notch), I was intrigued to learn more. So… once again, I hit the road to travel 860 miles for a first-hand Creamistry experience in Los Colinas, TX.
Walking into Creamistry had me feeling like a child again. I was in awe of the multiple choices and perhaps a bit overwhelmed at first on how to get started with my order. So the Creamologist helped break down the process to get me started.
So here’s the scoop on the process (literally)…
Step 1: Choose Your Size and Base.
So what does this mean? Well, you get to pick the size of your cup: regular or large? Or perhaps you want a shake or an ice cream sandwich? Once you’ve got that down, then comes the base.
Your base options include Creamistry’s Premium base, a rich and creamy base. An Organic base. A Sorbet base of various flavors: Blood Orange, Green Apple, Mango, Pineapple or Pink Grapefruit. And finally, a Vegan option for lactose intolerant individuals like me. Yay! This totally won me over… so I opted for a regular size with a cashew vegan base. Yep, this was all in Step 1.
Step 2: Choose Your Flavor.
And there are so many flavor options. The categories alone include Cereals, Cookies & Cakes, Nutty, The Classics (such as caramel, chocolate, etc), Coffee & Teas, and Fruity flavors. This is truly where the customization part comes in! So to continue my creation, I opted for a caramel mixture for my flavor!
Step 3. Choose Your Toppings & Upgrades
Toppings & Upgrades include a multitude of options that range from Candies; Cereals, Cookies & Cakes; Fruits, Nuts, & Sauces. 60+ flavor and topping options in all. All of them are so very tempting but given some of my dietary restrictions, I simply added a light drizzle of chocolate fudge to top my creation off. The perfect touch!
The Creamistry Magic!
Now is the final step… which isn’t a step for you but when the Creamistry magic happens. And let me tell you, I was fascinated. To have my ice cream made fresh in front of me by the specially trained Creamologist in a matter of minutes is nothing short of amazing. And entertaining.
So how does this magic happen? Creamistry shares that when their Creamologists inject liquid nitrogen into the mixing bowl, combining it with the ice cream mix, the liquid nitrogen quickly evaporates into a big cloud of smoke. Within seconds, the liquid nitrogen has vanished and you’re left with the freshest, creamiest, most indulgent ice cream. And it’s perfectly safe to consume.
And just like that… I have my own customized freshly made-to-order ice cream. Yum! Honestly, for a gal that doesn’t get to enjoy ice cream due to being lactose intolerant, this dairy-free Vegan option won me over at my first bite. Thank you, Creamistry!
